Joe Calderone, head chef of the New York City restaurant Serendipity 3, does a “top and taste” of some of Serendipity 3’s most extravagant desserts —the Luxe Milkshake, which comes in at $100; and the Golden Opulence Sundae, which can be yours for $1000 (with at least 48 hours notice, as all the ingredients are flown in fresh just for you and your sweet tooth!) .

The Golden Opulence Sundae is made with three scoops of Tahitian vanilla ice cream, caviar, almonds, chocolate from Tuscany, vanilla beans from Madagascar, candied fruit from Paris, and is covered in 23-karat gold leaf and a sugar-forged orchid flower. If that wasn’t enough, it comes served in a $350 Baccarat crystal goblet, which you get to keep. 

Can’t spend that much on dessert? Then maybe the restaurant’s own brand of ice cream is more your speed! It’s just $6.99 a pint and is available nation wide.
