Colin Cowie’s 120-Mile-Per-Hour Cocktail

This speedy drink comes from the spirited mind of Colin Cowie, and is certain to put a little pep in your step. You can also serve this as a shot, with the entire rim done in chocolate-cayenne, or in a rocks glass over an orb of ice. Cheers to you!

120-Mile-Per-Hour Cocktail
Makes 1 cocktail

Ingredients

2 tablespoons chocolate powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 slice orange
1 ounce tequila
1 ounce cold espresso
1 ounce coffee liqueur

Directions

1. In a shallow dish, stir together chocolate powder and cayenne.

2. Using the oil from the outside and juice from the inside of the orange, rim half a martini glass. Dip the glass in the chocolate-cayenne mixture.

3. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add tequila, espresso, and coffee liqueur. Shake until cold. Strain into glass.
